The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
